Welcome to LME First Aid

LME First Aid is a division of Lakeland Mountain Experience Ltd

LME First Aid provides tailored first aid training specific to your own working environment. Our first aid courses are designed around the risks and hazards of your own working environment.

Our trainers have many years of experience dealing with casualties in real life situations. We have worked in the same environments as your own staff so we able to transfer these valuable skills into course content.

At LME First Aid our courses are fully compliant with current health and safety legislation. As of October 2013, the HSE stopped offering accreditation of First Aid training providers. Now, when looking for a training provider, the strongly recommended route is for you to check that they offer regulated qualifications through an Ofqual/SQA/Welsh Government accredited awarding body.

ITC First is an expanding recognised awarding body that develops qualifications and approves, supports and verifies the activity of ITC Centres delivering regulated qualifications. Working as an ITC Centre means that LME First Aid can support environment specific, tailored first aid training to all sectors and provides a ‘one stop shop’ for both Companies and members of the public looking for a recognised appropriate first aid qualification.

Malcolm Wade: Lead Trainer and Owner of LME First Aid

After leaving a successful career in industry, I entered into the full time outdoor and adventure sector. With qualifications in mountain leadership, executive leadership and mentoring, first aid and many other national governing body awards, I currently lead expeditions worldwide including the Arctic, Africa, South America and Asia building a portfolio of vast experience in first aid in all situations.

Thanks for a great course today. I’m down the range tonight and already pointing out what we need to add to the first aid kit!

I personally wanted to thank Malcolm who was very good, clear and concise. For me it answered a lot of questions that you ask yourself in a desolate place, hill or moor. For instance the trauma pack that Malcolm demonstrated really does cover all eventualities instead of a first aid kit full of items that would be of little use in a catastrophic bleed situation. The course was excellent and wanted to thank Malcolm personally!
